Finally I have taken the step to put a Linux on my main working computer. Decided to make it a Kubuntu PC. Takes some time to get used to KDE instead of Windows, but I already feel much more comfortable. Installation went on without a problem and all my hardware is running. Hmm ... well ... I wonder if there is a decent replacement for Canons RAW image processing software. The only thing I currently miss is the fancy prompt from Gentoo. Yeah, I know ... easy, but I'm not to keen on interfering with Kubuntus standard config files. Ah and Kubuntu doesn't have the new Mozilla Lightning 0.7 but only an old 0.5 version, missed that one and switched to KDE's Kontact PIM.
But overally it starts feeling good :)
( ... hmm ... why does it think my CD burner was /dev/fd0 ??? ;-) ) |
